Creating In-Text Citations

How do you create in-text citations?

  1. You can create an in-text citation by hovering over a source in your bibliography and clicking the add or update in-text citation icon. A pop-up screen will appear.

  2. Click on the arrow next to "Not Set" to set the type of in-text citation that you'd like to create. You can choose page number, chapter, or section.

  3. Then, input the correct information into the field. For instance, choose page and then input the relevant page number.

  4. To add additional in-text citations, click "+Add in-text citation."

  5. When you're finished, click save.

Note: To see the in-text citations you created in your document, you need to click on the bibliography and in-text citations view icon immediately above the document. This will display your in-text citations along with your bibliographic references.
